I cannot begin to express how much of a true pleasure it is to introduce one of the most amazing and magical humans there ever was to exist (and such a dear friend of mine), her name is Ana Agricola. I remember back to the very first day I met Ana, she has an incredible presence that makes a mark. The coolest thing about this, is every single person who knows Ana or has even crossed paths for a brief moment, would say the exact same. I remember feeling this sense of calmness, positive bubbles of rainbow light and just so grounded. This is Ana. She has the unique ability to ground the entire room and make everyone and everything feel just wonderful. Her energy is captivating and one that you always want to be around, making the world a better place. Ana has such a beautiful aura, both energetically and physically, her beauty really shines. Not only is she an actual goddess with the most gorgeous golden locks you will ever see (I mean truly, check out those pics below you will see what I mean, we all need hairspo and product guidance from this one), but she has a golden heart and is one of the most giving humans I know. Ana wears her heart on her sleeve and leads with her intuition. Ana is an earth angel. Alongside being a magical human, Ana has had a notable career, spanning from all ends of the spectrum from buying and brand development with leading global platforms and luxury multi-brand retailers such as Net-A-Porter and currently, Ana is the Business Development Manager APAC for Farfetch. I have watched Ana soar in every role and business she comes into contact with. She has an incredible eye and has been the reason several brands have had their opportunity for global exposure at a retail level and a launch pad to the beginning of their journey’s. One of the first moments we worked together, Ana saw the talent in a now renowned global brand before anyone else, took the risk and gave this brand the first moment to reach the consumer and grow a strong following. Ana has such a skill in sourcing talent, guidance within the global market and the business strategy and intelligence to match. It’s obvious how much I adore this woman, so it it very exciting for us to introduce Ana and for you to all fall in love with the angel we know and learn a little bit about her journey so far. Also fingers crossed we can convert her to move to Byron Bay one day so we can enjoy her presence every day!
Get to Know, Ana Agricola.
How would you describe yourself in five words?
World citizen with Brazilian soul.
Tell us a little more about you, where do you reside and how you came to be ‘doing you’ as you are right now?
I was born in Sao Paulo, to a very Brazilian mother and a very German father, so contrast was always present in my life, but that is not to say it wasn’t a harmonious upbringing, I will say it was a very unexpected and eclectic mix, and that sort of set the tone to my life and personality. I left the country in my early 20s as I was craving some time away from the nest, it was meant to be one year of studying in London, but it turned out to be 6 years, a career in fashion buying and an Australian husband, who later ‘imported’ me to Australian Western shores, and later Sydney. I always kept close ties with my life in the UK and that’s how my role at Farfetch came about, I now spend a good amount of time outside the Country, discovering and expanding the business around Asia Pacific.
